ABOUT ASTROBASE SPACE TECHNOLOGIES
Astrobase Space Technologies is an early-stage Bengaluru company building a two-stage orbital launch vehicle. Our engine is a LOX–methane full-flow staged-combustion engine. The Astrobase Propulsion team is looking for experienced and passionate professionals who can own the vehicle's stage fluid and propulsion systems from design to flight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out lower/upper-stage integration under senior engineers; support build sequences, schedules and readiness reviews.
• Plan and support assembly of feed, pressurisation, purge, vent/relief, fill/drain and pneumatic systems, including installation of tubing, valves, regulators, sensors, fittings and other fluid components.
• Draft assembly, inspection and test procedures for review, and support at execution: torque sequences, cleanliness and FOD controls, leak checks, proof tests, valve functional checks and health checks.
• Support stage tests from cold-flow and cryogenic proof tests to stage static fires; reduce test data and flag anything off-nominal.
• Maintain assembly P&IDs, health-check and test documents, and as-built traceability records; raise NCRs and record dispositions.
• Help detail fluid interfaces, line supports, component mountings and handling fixtures in CAD; check them at fit-up and report issues to design, manufacturing and quality teams.
• Update lower/upper-stage CAD models and BoMs, including test-stand, facility and GSE/umbilical interfaces; prepare assembly drawings for manufacturing and integration.
• Track BoM availability and kitting status for flight hardware; flag shortages to supply chain and planning.

DESIRED QUALIFICATION
• Diploma (first class) or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 6–10 years of hands-on work in assembly, integration or testing of fluid, pneumatic or mechanical hardware.
• Experience with high-pressure gas or cryogenic fluid hardware: tubing, fittings, valves, regulators and seals.
• Reading P&IDs and engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• BoM tracking and test-data plotting; clear, accurate record keeping.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
• Prior work on launch vehicle fluid hardware, test stands, GSE, cryogenic systems or stage test campaigns.
• Tube fittings, routing and bending; welded and brazed joint inspection; cryogenic seals.
• Helium leak checks, propellant-service cleaning and cryogenic (LN2, LOX) handling.
• Quality systems and inspection records; BoM and kitting control in PLM.
• Drafting P&IDs; test-data reduction in Python or MATLAB.
• Clean-room, FOD control and high-pressure safety practice.

WHAT WE OFFER
• Attractive early-stage stock options (ESOPs).
• Group health insurance: employee, spouse, children and parents.
• Insurance: term-life and personal-accident cover.
• Work environment: Challenging, stimulating, research-driven work solving rocket problems every day with a great team. We have a good time, and unlimited coffee.
