ABOUT ASTROBASE SPACE TECHNOLOGIES
Astrobase Space Technologies is an early-stage Bengaluru company building a two-stage orbital launch vehicle. Our engine is a LOX–methane full-flow staged-combustion engine. The Astrobase Propulsion team is looking for experienced and passionate professionals who can own the vehicle's stage fluid and propulsion systems from design to flight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Draft and maintain P&IDs and fluid schematics for stage feed, fill/drain, pressurisation, pneumatic, purge and vent systems, working from engineering markups.
• Model and route stage propulsion tubes and pipes in 3D CAD, with supports, clamps and instrumentation ports, to the integration engineer’s layout.
• Prepare detail, assembly, installation and interface drawings with GD&T, weld symbols, torque notes and cleanliness callouts.
• Draft drawings for assembly tooling, handling fixtures, GSE and stage-to-test-stand adapters.
• Build BOMs, assign part numbers, manage revisions in PLM and incorporate ECOs.
• Turn shop-floor redlines and test-stand changes into as-built drawings.

DESIRED QUALIFICATION
• ITI/NTC/NAC in Draughtsman (Mechanical), or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min. 5+ years drafting mechanical or fluid-system hardware in aerospace, defence, cryogenics, process plant or precision engineering.
• Hands-on work experience with 3D CAD/PLM: Siemens NX/Teamcenter, CATIA/3DEXPERIENCE or Creo/Windchill.
• Detail and assembly drawings with GD&T, following standard drawing practice.
• Reads engineering markups and shop sketches accurately; keeps drawing files and revisions clean.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
• Tube and pipe routing modules (NX Routing, CATIA Tubing, Creo Piping) and CNC bend data.
• AutoCAD for P&IDs and 2D schematics.
• Drafting for cryogenic, high-pressure or oxygen-service hardware: flared fittings, flanges, seals and cleanliness callouts.
• Drawings for machined, welded, brazed and additive parts.
• Experience with ISRO, HAL, DRDO or their suppliers, or on launch-vehicle and engine test-stand hardware.

WHAT WE OFFER
• Attractive early-stage stock options (ESOPs).
• Group health insurance: employee, spouse, children and parents.
• Insurance: term-life and personal-accident cover.
• Work environment: Challenging, stimulating, research-driven work solving rocket problems every day with a great team. We have a good time, and unlimited coffee.
