Astrobase is a pioneering spacetech startup founded by prominent Senior ISRO scientists and IIT Bombay alumni with over 20 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, testing and flying advanced Cryogenic Launch Vehicles. ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on developer to build AI-powered applications and intelligent automations that drive our internal operations. The role centers on designing agentic AI workflows and custom web applications with built-in analytics and its own security and access control layer - while also supporting and evolving our existing Microsoft Power Platform footprint.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and build agentic AI workflows and automations using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar - for tasks such as document processing, data extraction, database analysis, and cross-functional reporting.
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models) with internal systems via APIs, RAG pipelines, and vector databases.
• Architect, develop, test, and progressively deploy a custom AI-first web application, rolling out module by module.
• Design database schemas, implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and integrate authentication with M365 Entra ID.
• Build in-app analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Support and enhance existing Power Apps and Power Automate solutions - bug fixes, feature additions, and gradual migration of workflows to the new platform where it makes sense.
• Document code, prompts, workflows, and system architecture for long-term maintainability.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Upto 3 years of experience
• Hands-on experience building AI applications and agentic automations (portfolio/GitHub required).
• Proficiency with agentic AI frameworks - LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, pgvector).
• Strong grasp of full-stack web development - React/Next.js or equivalent frontend, Node.js/Python (FastAPI/Flask) backend, REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, schema design, and query optimization.
• Working knowledge of RLS, RBAC, and identity/access management (M365/Entra ID preferred).
• Working familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform - Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse.
• Comfort with version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD basics.
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Demonstrated impact in a previous role, internship, or personal project - shipped something real, not just coursework.
• Exposure to enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, MES, CRM) or B2B SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with cloud services (Azure preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable) and MLOps basics.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ownership - this is a solo-builder role reporting directly to leadership.
• High enthusiasm and self-direction valued over years of experience.
