ABOUT ASTROBASE SPACE TECHNOLOGIES

Astrobase is building the sovereign operational layer of India’s space stack—an always-available launch and propulsion infrastructure designed for cadence, responsiveness, and control, not episodic missions. Today’s space programs are optimized for launches. Astrobase is built for continuity—ensuring that access to space is not constrained by program cycles, availability gaps, or external dependencies. National space capability requires two distinct layers: mission-driven programs, and an operational backbone that ensures continuity, responsiveness, and sustained readiness. The latter remains structurally underbuilt. The company is developing the core infrastructure required to enable this capability, including:
• India’s only private full-flow staged combustion hot-fire test facility, designed and built in-house, rated for full engine qualification (21.5 acres)
• An integrated engine and vehicle production line co-located with the test facility (~46,000 sq ft)
• An 80-ton thrust class FFSC LOX–methane engine program, currently in qualification — the propulsion class that defines reusable medium-lift launch globally
This infrastructure stack is designed to support continuous, sovereign access to space over a multi-decade horizon.

Astrobase exists to build that missing layer. The team is built around engineers who have designed, qualified, and flown real propulsion and launch hardware — including veterans of ISRO’s cryogenic propulsion programs and senior engineers from India’s space and defence aerospace establishment.
